Basic Online Calculator

This online calculator is like the small one you might carry in your backpack. It can do basic math like adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Just like many simple calculators, it has extra buttons for percentages, squaring numbers, finding square roots, and using the value of pi. This calculator is pretty accurate and can handle numbers up to 10 digits long.

Plus/Minus: Use this button if you need to change a number’s sign. Pressing it will switch the number from positive to negative, or from negative to positive.

Multiply/Divide: If you want an answer to multiplying or dividing two or more values, then you can get the answer to your question.

Finding the Percentage:

Division and multiplication will convert the displayed value to a decimal percent when you press [=].

Example: Find 40% of 45. Enter 45 x 40% and the display changes to 0.4. Press [=] to complete the calculation: 45 x 0.4 = 18. The answer 18 shows in the display.

The percentage of a value can be added or subtracted using addition and subtraction.

• Example: Add 40% to 45.
• Enter: 45 + 40% and the display changes to 18.
